Research and Ramblings

Research - Yaaay!

I know, it sounds mundane... but I absolutely LOVE it!

You can look at one thing... and find out about another.... then find out about another.......and then it will eddy and whirlpool and slip round a rabbit hole, because everything seems connected. Cool!

Gutted that Encyclopaedia Brittanica isn't published in book-form any more.
Always envisioned buying a couple of books a year till I had a full set.... Then starting again* when I had them all

Me Da had a HUGE atlas that I'd pore over (I believe page 114 was the one with all the crystals on). It also had some flora and fauna, the planets, as well as all the countries of the world. I adored this book! I genuinely think those physical pages of "lands untold and inaccessible" have made a lasting impression on my life.

Anyway, if I ever send you a weird message that seems out of nowhere, It'll be because inside the researchy whirlpool or rabbit hole I'll have seen something that might make you smile, that might make you think, that reminds you that there's a Geekgirl watching out for you.....

PS: Character/storyline pretty good - but dialogue needs more work

My First Post

Hi, I'm Kate,

I like stuff.  All the Stuff. Fictional/factual/historical/hysterical...I just like Stuff!

Today I'm liking navel gazing poetry.

I wrote one called.....

"The New Evolution is Kindness"

And then I remembered, "gwaaaah - Don't write bad poetry. Stop procrastinating! You have a play to write.... Also stop trying to be John Lennon - you're not! Get over it!"

So, just to get the brainDorphins going, primed the IPod to "Them Girls" by Zig and Zag

And then started a blog.......
